THANKFULLY, I outgrew that fear at the ripe old age of 25! But, I've never felt sick to my stomach or anything when confronted with haunting stories, etc. As I no longer align myself with my childhood beliefs, I also have no belief in ghosts etc. but I remember when I did and I can certainly sympathize with the immediate and lasting effects of being terrified! |
That was the first book I read that completely scared the heck out of me. I had to put it down it was so scary. The movie absolutely blew my mind. I never did "outgrow" the fear of that.
