i agree about rubbing his mama's scent on something and putting it in his crate. If thats not possible then your scent. also, you might try a low radio on something calm like country. Maybe the voices will make him feel less detached from you. My Sumo yorkie likes it when I leave the radio on for him. also warm up some rice in a cloth bag and wrap it in a blanket in his crate. Puppies are used to sleeping in a pile of other warm puppies. My grandma suggested something small with weight similar to a beanie baby to serve as a replacement for that puppy pile up
