Well first off yorkies should be with there moms until 12 weeks. Dogs are social creatures and I think at night especially when new and scared they should be in the same room in a crate where they can see you. They need you, they need to know your there, you are there parent and protector now. They are like a newborn everything is new for them. I get not wanting the dog in bed with you but you can train them not to get on the bed and sleep on their bed/ the floor at night. Until they are potty trained and still pups I am a fan of putting them in a crate next to the bed. The first week or two was rough but I would only take mine out when she would cry at night to go potty then I would put her right back in and ignore her unless she went to sleep and woke up a few hours later crying, then I would take her potty and back to the crate.
