We have just purchased a new yorkshire terrier she is about 5 months old and she not from the puppy mill an she came pre trained already , a purebred and we are wondering if there is any advice on ways to train her to respond to us when appropriate and still have her own independence to run around be herself .

We have had a yorkie in the past before but she died due to pancreatic cancer and getting old , she was not as well trained as she was our first pet then and now with our second pet we just want to make sure we do the right things and it is up to me my responsibility to take care of the training and everything so if anyone has some good advice with training related stuff and obedience and what not please send them my way please so I can gain experience and become a stronger more responsible dog parent .
