I agree with yorkietalkjilly about bringing someone with you, other then just you and DH, I would bring a 3rd person a male person on Sunday when you go to pick Teddy up, also consult authorities about the situation just in case you may need help.I would also bring Teddy's ownership papers, or any medical papers showing Teddy is your dog. I disagree with confronting them with harshness about holding Teddy as a playmate, as much as I would like to. I would also bring some money, kinda like of a reward, a thank you for caring for my dog, be pleasant about it, think about the future if they find another dog, if you make it a bad experience for them in returning your dog, the next dog they could find they may not give back. We here in the USA handle things differentially, lol, you have my dog is like you have my human child. we would travel to where ever to get our baby back, me, I don't care what reason a person would want to hold my dog for a few days that's not gonna happen. For what ever reason you agreed to let Teddy stay there is your reason, as long as you get him on Sunday. My concern is, because you agreed to allow them to keep your lost dog for several days , they may feel you do not have a deep love for him and may not want to give him back. This has been a devastating experience for you, and it is still not over until little Teddy is in your car, your arms and on his way home to his HOME. This poor little boy must be soooo confused, even if he is being treated well and has a little playmate, his love and loyalty will always be for you, his family. Please, please keep use posted. If you lived in the states, with all these days that have past, I would have been in my car and driven to where ever you lived to help you get this little boy back.
