stl may have other reasons for leaving the dog where he is for a few days. She says in post #14 she has a fussy human baby, and she is exhausted. Looking at her posts a year and a half ago, apparently they had Teddy 2 years, then had a baby and less time for Teddy.

Not judging here, just pointing out that her other obligations and priorities could be a factor in not rushing to get Teddy back. I just hope that Teddy is happy and well taken care of now and in the future, wherever he is.
Yes, no matter how much I love Teddy, my baby is always a priority. But I don't think it means we love Teddy less than the other family do. I am pretty sure that he is still attached to us. And as my baby grows, he starts to learn to play and interact with Teddy, so we still have to supervise them both (for baby not to hurt Teddy and vice versa), but they do get along fine.
