Joey loves the car, I made a point of taking him to lots of fun places when he was young and if we had a vet visit coming, I made sure I took him to a few fun places the week of the appointment. He never learned to associate the car with the vet. He absolutely loves going to see his breeder who also grooms him, I guess it's the playing with the other dogs or something, but he's is so happy to take the ride to her house. It funny, because my rehome Ralphie was pretty scared of the car, he would shake pretty bad when we put him in his carrier, but after a year and lots of car rides with only a couple of vet visits, he stopped shaking. He doesn't love the car like Joey, but he's not afraid of it and just seems to fall asleep in his carrier. |
