All the Angora sweaters I have ever had were soooooo soft! The issue I had with Angora was it seemed to shed some, and it made me sneeze. My aunt had rabbits that I THINK they used the fur, but they plucked the fur when the rabbits were about to nest, when they plucked their OWN fur to line nest boxes with....but I will have to contact her to see if that is accurate information. I know there was no ripping and tearing the fur off the rabbits, nothing cruel was going on. As far as eating rabbit meat, they did eat rabbit meat from rabbits they raised, but the rabbits were not horrifically murdered.....and I do not think they were "bled" after they were killed.....people that live on farms and supply us with meat know how that is done humanely. My son raised rabbits in high school....we were going to raise them to eat....never happened. I fell in love with all those dad gum rabbits and it would have been over my dead body that those rabbits would be killed for a meal! Same thing with a calf from the rodeo calf scramble.....and the little lamb.....I am NOT a farmer.....I can not raise my food for my table! |
