If that's the case, OP, try using the car also to take her to fun places, like the park or a pet store, etc.,
Or maybe have a puppy/other dog friend ride with her, that is good in cars and likes the car? Maybe it could put your pup more at ease? Maybe a Monkey-See-Monkey-Do situation?
