My breeder sent this poem home with me when I collected Teddy. It is not signed so I can't give the appropriate credit to the person who wrote it - but it wasn't me. If you've seen it before - you'll probably smile again. If not, have fun reading. I think it's adorable.
In Praise of Yorkies
If you've never owned a Yorky you don't know what you've missed,
A mighty little bundle not much bigger than your fist;
He'll guard your home and property with determination if not size,
With head held high and ears alert and mischief in his eyes.
A saucy little chappie who expects the very best,
He's convinced and of course he's right, he's a cut above the rest
He'll give you back a thousand-fold, your love and much, much more,
But don't be fooled when your back is turned he'll piddle on the floor.
He'll chase birds and tease the cat and nip at strangers' feet,
Then he'll jump up on your lap looking for a treat.
So get yourself a Yorky and live life to the full,
The one thing I can promise you your days will not be dull!
