I always advocate owners use a break away collar for safety's sake.....I can only imagine if you happen to be that ONE person that comes home to find their adorable, precious baby, hanging dead by that collar caught in the baby gate or the play pen, or the threads on the carpet, you will wish you were in the group that had lost their baby outside without the collar.

One Callie is to big for breakaway collars, two she is never left alone and three she never puts her collar in her mouth ever. I have never heard of an adult dog doing it. Accidents with collars are rare.
