All my dogs have always had a collar with their ID tags, name & my phone #. I leave them on 24/7. They would NEVER tear off on me, but hey, ya never know, better safe then sorry. They were walked using a harness. My lil boy has a collar 24/7 with ID tag, his name & my phone #, he is also micro chipped and that tag is also on his collar. When he is walked I use a harness. As long as you can fit your 2 fingers between pups neck and the collar it is ok. The collar cannot be snug. Every one has their own opinions about using a collar. I choose to use one for tags and they are cool looking.
