I ordered the First Alert Bark Genie from 1-800-PETMEDS a few months ago. They offered a money back guarantee so I thought I had nothing to lose. Our Harley is not a frequent barker but she gets really excited when our younger grandchildren come over. She's not barking to be aggressive, she just wants their attention. She has the run of our family room and kitchen. At times when we go on the other side of the gate which separates her area from her 'no access' area, she'll bark quite a bit. The Bark Genie has worked great for us. I would say "no bark" and point at her before I pushed the button. She immediately stopped barking after the button was pushed. Now that we've been using it for awhile, I can either just show her the device or just point and say "no bark" and her barking will cease. If she is super excited I still may need to use it. It's just a great feeling to know that if Harley gets on a barking jag, it will won't be long until she is under control. I have read the the Bark Genie does not work for every dog but it does work for our Harley.
