I turned the cut part under 2 times and just used a base stitch. As for the sweat shirt, my pup was prob bigger then yours is, mine was to me tiny, she fit in the palm of my hand when I got her at 6 weeks old, the sock worked best as it has a give to it, you'll be surprised at how fast she will out grow the sock, that's when I used the sweat shirt, I have always been under 105 lbs, so my shirts were always a size small, when I used the sweat shirt sleeve, where the cuff is sewn, the seam, I cut the seam to give more room around the throat, the cut part facedher chest, no sewing either,no hanging threads. This pup as an adult grew to be 9 lbs lol. After she out grew the sweat sleeve she use to play with it, I still have it, it's part of her lil memorial.
