I wanted my Dori to wear cute sweaters too, but I noticed that the ones that are "knitted" rather than a "stiffer cotton" make her matt like crazy!!! So she doesn't wear tight knit anymore.
Dori mats on her chest. They are very hard to get out and I have to get them out as soon as I notice one starting because if I just leave it they will get really bad. I have a habit of constantly rubbing her chest now to see if any are forming.

To get them out you have to spray them with some kind of conditioner. I use Chris Christensen's Ice on Ice leave in detangler/conditioner that quite a few people on YT use. Spray the mat and try to work it out some with your fingers. Then I use a comb and start at the base close to their skin and work the mat out. It takes a little time and you have to be gentle but just keep working at it!!

Good luck!
