It is possible she is not registered in California. Each state has different requirements for breeders to be licensed. In my state, you must have six or more unaltered females. So, if a home breeder has five, they would not be registered. I do know of other breeders who sell a pup as pet only and require proof of neuter before they will forward the papers. It is a protection for their "line" or when they feel the pup (usually a female) is too small to breed. I am so sorry you have had a struggle with your little guy. It is possible he picked up the skin infection in his first home, but, you will likely never know. Now that he is better, I hope you have a wonderful life with him. The infection might have been easier to clear than ringworm, that can be a nightmare. |
