I've noticed any dog product is more expensive than the equivalent human product. When I was looking for PJ's for a Christmas picture, baby pj's were much much cheaper and had more material. I guess because dog items are considered more of a luxury and not a necessity, manufactures can jack up the prices. I personally wouldn't worry about the pH, if you use the unscented. This site tells you what chemical to avoid.
