This is my daughter's post so I will update. I was babysitting yesterday and had to take another to a vet appointment and she was going crazy thinking I was taking the other for a walk without her so still thinking she might be pregnant I took her with us for fear of getting her too stressed out. After discussing the first dog, my vet said ok what are we doing with this one and I had to explain why I had brought her. He picked her up and asked how far along and when I said Day 40 he said no way and said he felt her kidneys and a full bladder. I said I wasn't sure one day I would say yes and the other no. He then put her on the exam table and was showing how to palpate and then had to backtrack and tell me she was pregnant with definitely with two and possibly a third higher up.
It is still hard for me to believe 100% because she isn't showing at all, but my vet is good. She still has lots of energy on walks and although she feels slightly more solid or thicker in her rib cage area she looks normal below that. Don't know if she is not as far along as I think or being a fit maiden her muscles are in good shape or the puppies are just very tiny or maybe the fact that there is only two??? Time will tell and she will get an x-ray close to the delivery date so she or I will update then.
