Default Help with Doppler purchase

I would like any information or experience you have in the use of a doppler to hear fetal hearttones. I am looking at purchasing a Contec Sonoline. The C1 model differs from the B model just by a bend in the probe and the C2 model differs from the C1 in that it is a color display. The Sonotrax only has a range up to 210 bpm (which isn't high enough for puppies) and the Sonoline 240 bpm. My main question is which probe would be best. I have learned that a 2 mhz goes deeper for larger women. So my question is would a 3 mhz be the best to get for a small Yorkie pregnancy since depth is obviously not an issue? They also have more sensitive 5 mhz and 8 mhz probes identified as vascular to detect blood flow in arteries and veins. I am unsure whether the "vascular" probes would detect hearttones at all or if they would be better since depth is not an issue. I contacted a doppler supplier and they were unable to answer this question. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
