I am so very sorry Joyce. And yes I lost my Zoey 2 years ago to Lymphoma. She was very young, not even 4 yrs old, and so we tried to buck the serious odds and go with chemo. It did not work for us.


Predisone can alleviate for a time many symptoms and relieve pain from the swelling, but she should also have some pain relievers as well.


You need to know what stage the cancer is at. We were already at stage 4, she had a very aggressive form of Lymphoma.


She did tolerate the chemo treatments very well. And we knew the grim odds going in.


But for me, now I would not elect chemo, with the odds we were faced with, and the financial burden. I would do the predisone, and cherish each and every day you have left with your sweetie.
