No that is problem number 2. She is not spayed, yet, and is currently in heat. We found that out last night as she had little "accidents" all over our bed that we had just changed the sheets on!! Hubby was freaked out as he tends to do with matters of nature...lol. The two yorkies have had two litters of pups together in the past, I am just scared to breed her, afraid that something might go wrong. Both pregs went fine and she had beautiful pups, but...I am a novice. The female initially belonged to my mom and the male to my sister. Mom didn't really have enough time to spend with Jolene and has some health issues and my sister has a young child that she feels might hurt the little boy as she has some aggression issues. That is the main reason why he hasn't been home in some time. She finally realized that the best thing for the male was to find him another forever home and of course I love him and would take him in a heartbeat!!
Heck, I don't even know how often they come into heat. When can she be spayed? She ate her panties off...how long will she bleed? Oh dear, I have questions. I got fairly good at helping to take care of the pups once born, but never dealt with any of this other stuff.
So, you think I might be able to make this work with a spay and some belly bands? I am certainly willing to give it a shot. Any mentors out there? Thanks a zillion in advance. I will keep you posted on how this turns out...
