He was and still is emaciated, also why I held off on all his other shots, but he is getting better. As soon as he gains some more weight (only 3.1 last week) I'll get the rest of his shots. Any helpful (friendly please) advice or tips to help with getting him back on the the best health road is kindly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Awww Yayyy you, but I am confused, where did you rescue him from? Did you have a titer test, blood tests etc., to see his overall health? Are you sure he hasn't had shots?

Ok, without knowing all the circumstances of this pups hx its hard to give any advice regarding too much.

As for the emaciation...if it is caused from starvation and not illness (?) start with some boiled chicken and rice, gradually add a good quality kibble. I would also wonder about supplements given the shape you are describing. There are so many variables.

I can tell you to not give him table scraps, grapes, onions, etc., no high fat foods at all.

Its so hard to say when there is so little information here

Welcome to YT and I'm glad you found us, you will find all the info you need here to help raise your healthy pup!

Also, you do not have to ever consider a shelter, a REPUTABLE RESCUE is better for these small pups, and we can even help with that!
