When we start to exit the house Milo is extremely good about waiting until I tell him "okay" which means that he can go ahead of me but then he'll usually turn around to make sure that I'm somewhere close behind. Another thing that he does that I find very strange though is that he NEVER, EVER asks to go out. Therefore, I take him out every few hours just to be certain that he's okay. Our mini-Schnauzer ALWAYS let us know when she wanted to go out. She would go to the door, sit down & bark one time.
