McAfee brought me nothing but headaches. The only computer I ever lost to malware was one I was using McAfee on. A trojan took down the computer. The fees are too high and the program slows down the computer. |
I should have added the reason for setting up the account without admin privileges: it is much less likely that anything can automatically be downloaded and installed on your computer when you are not operating as the admin.
If anything tries to download and install, you will be prompted for your admin password. Much safer.
