there was an interesting thread on here a while back about the color of the eyeshine of the dog determining if it is a silky coat or cotton coat. I don't know how reliable it is but my Daisy has red eye shine like your pup has. Try searching "eyeshine" (not sure if it one word or two) and see if the thread comes up. My phone won't let me do searches. |
Thanks for the tip. I looked into the eye shine and it is an amber color for sure. My baby is definitely a cotton coat. I read cowboy magic can give her some shine. I think I'm going to grow it back out but shave the body. I saw pictures here. They call it the joy cut.
