Here in Indiana the Flu shot is required for not only Hospital personel but my Husband who is more of a private contractor hes a delivery person who picks up medical records to be data processed also all his other employees that drive for him have to have one. I dont think thats unreasonable either they are trying to keep patients from getting the flu. I get the flu shot and so does my Daughter so we keep the flu out of our household also we are out in the public so we are susceptible to getting the flu. My dogs get the bordatella not so much because Im worried about the flu but Im concerned they could get it and it turn to pnemonia. I would never tell anyone they are harming their dog by not getting it but I personally see the benefits of getting it so I would let them know that and let them decide. If your dog is out in the public like going to dog parks or petsmart etc I see the benefit of it. Also most groomers require it. If your dog is a more stay at home dog well then its probably not necessary but everyone has to decide for themselves whats best. Whew sorry so long but those were my thoughts on the subject |
