Some Prey Model raw feeders will tell you to give dogs ONLY consumable bones (ie, chicken wings, drums etc where they eat the bone and all) bc they'll say the dog could chip a tooth on larger bones like femurs or whatnot. Anything is possible, keep in mind. But I've been giving the Bison Rib bones for years and never had a single problem -- I like them bc they have a bit of meat on them, they're thin enough for a yorkie to chew on, but they're non-consumable - so they won't choke on a piece of bone like they can w/ the consumable bones. Rib bones may be considered "consumable" for very large breeds, but they wouldn't be for yorkies...so perhaps Prey Model feeders would consider the rib bones consumable bones, just for larger dogs.
