You are absolutely right. Did he really have to come back fatigued, then plunge right into riding the subway, going to an amusement park, bowling alley, restaurants, etc.? Where is his common sense? Taking his temp twice a day was nice.... but fatigue was the earlier symptom that was ignored. There needs to be a pre-quarantine requirement for people at high risk who have been in contact with ebola, like health care workers who have been treating it.
NYC is doing a great job of handling this, however I do feel the doctor himself was negligent in exposing people needlessly. Heck, even jet lag alone would have kept me from doing all those things in 2 days. It's to bad NYC has the expense of chasing this all down.
