Hello to everyone,
Ive been having a few issues with Iris for the last month and a half. About a week before she went into heat she started being really picky with her food while before she would gobble it up in a minute or 2. I feed her with Artemis small breed puppy dry dog food. The moment she went into heat she stopped eating. I left her food out for her but she was not interested at all. After 24 hours of not eating she went into hypoglycemic shock and it was a nightmare. She was about 1.7 kilos then. For the past month ive been soaking her dog food in water and grinding it in the food processor into paste which i then force feed her by sticking it to the inside of the top of her mouth. She is now 2.2 kilos but still refuses to eat her dog food. I tried feeding her special home-cooked meals and she sniffs at them and just walks away. The only thing she has eaten on her own has been a fried egg although im not sure it is classified as fried since i didnt use any oil of any kind. And now she refuses even that.
My question is: does anyone have any tips or tricks to get this sorted or will I have to force-feed her for the rest of our lives. Thanks to everyone in advance
P.S she is not in heat anymore, hasnt been for a couple of days and is completely healthy apart from that.
