I've heard it's a really good food product. I know how ya feel about a pet nearing their time and trying to feed them, had that experience myself. I'd say when it comes down to that, give them anything they want. If they like it, intake it easy and can keep it down, then go for it. At that point, it's better to indulge them than they starve in their last days.
