I had my brothers Beagle and Sparky had HORRIFIC skin problems....he was clearly what they call a "hot mess"....My brother even paid an allergist to fly down to Houston once a week to treat/see the dog....cost his thousands of dollars and Sparky never did get any relief. He was on all kinds of meds, he was on large doses of cortisone....that took a terrible toll on his entire body....I finally made the decision to have the unfortunate soul put to sleep when he went into kidney failure and started having seizures.... I agree, your baby needs to be seen by a dermatologist. While that may be expensive, you will come out better in the long run financially...as it is now, you are throwing money down a rabbit hole and getting no where with no results. Has your vet done skin scrapings for mites that cause demodectic mange? I really do think a dermatologist will get you a correct diagnosis, get you on a treatment plan, get this little soul on meds that are going to correct the situation and give him relief.
