[P-Nut Mom]

I heartily support the xpen concept! P-Nut is 3 and Pickles is 2 - we pen them whenever they're not going to be supervised for a substantial length of time. Pickles is pretty good, but P-Nut does love to get into things. They do slow down eventually; P-Nut as a pup was like having an infant that very rarely slept or rested. I had no idea it was going to be like that! I taught the "leave it" and "drop it" commands which have proved to be invaluable, by the way.
