Tilly is a tiny girl. She is 9 months old and just now really getting the pottie thing. She has 4 other dogs to show her the way. I keep her crate open with a pottie pad in it at all times. She will run in and piddle and I praise like crazy. She also pees and poops outside when everyone goes out ( 1 to 2 hours). None of my other dogs are pad trained although the other two girls came to me pad trained they both decided that outside with the rest of the pack was the place to pottie.
At 4 months a puppy can almost walk and pee at the same time. If a timer is set,it should be set for every hour. Kenzie is only a year I have seen a great difference in both of them around 9 or 10 months. Its like they just suddenly got it and like I said before they have other dogs here to teach them. |
