Get a tripod and a camera you can set on automatic continuous pic taking. Pre-focus it to the table bed crate what-ever snap a pic to check the lighting and focus. then set up you pup or pups. The tripod gets rid of any camera shake which really helps with clarity of the photo. In the beginning don't worry if your finger or hand gets into the shot
Video is even easier set it up let it run and the pups play. Then edit out the dead air - it is jus clip or snip the unwanted part...(s)
I am not going to win any awards but I have gotten marginally better with a tripod and the camera/video.
