Machine sewing is easy. Just takes a little practice. . My Gran told me and stuck with me . . As long as you can sew a straight line you can sew. Best way to practice is to take a piece of fabric and draw straight lines with a ruler. . .then sew on the lines . . .it will help keep them straight . Then now do it with two pieces. The use the plate on the machine where the needle is .it gives measurements. And let that be your guide to keep the line straight . . Now you are sewing ! Wish you were closer. I could help you . . I have been sewing since I am 7 and I am . . . .
Oh you are sweet I wish we were closer too! I am just terrible with machines in general. I had decided that it must be a tension issue but retrospectively I thinks I was just stubbornly using the wrong thread (I was dying natural fabrics and using cotton thread) and I am just generally poorly organized, lol. So I am the proud owner of a fancy serger and three sewing machines and a beautiful sewing cupboard and no time and no space! I have recently begun using synthetic material but had a different focus back then. Who knows? I may be ready to try again sooner than later. Thanks for the encouragement!
