Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes. DaVinci is doing good, it appears to be a soft tissue injury, he didn't cry or anything during the exam. The vet checked his leg thoroughly, no dislocation, no quivering while being examined, and no bone abnormalities or break could be felt. The vet felt comfortable treating him with pain medication and rest. Since he wasn't crying in pain we decided to not do x rays for now and give him a few days to see if he shows signs of improvement. I don't want to expose him to radiation so I will see how he is over the next few days. If he shows any sign of worsening or no improvement I will bring him back for x rays and go from there.
