You can't always tell stress but switching there food right away could give them diarrhea and then you would not know if it was because of the food switch, stress or sickness. You also can't risk it with puppies under 12 weeks who come home to younge because all it takes is something small to trigger hypoglycemia or dehydration that could lead to bigger issues.
