My Winston is only 3 and has lost 10 teeth yet has had four dentals in his lifetime. I'm using the petsmile toothpaste for him and healthy mouth water additive. Those products are VOHC accepted. Thanks for replying. We have a appt scheduled with the vet on the 28th. I found some information on a website about certain prescription medicines that may help. I will ask about them then. For now we can't brush him for 6 more days but we will pick up daily brushing after that and continue yearly dental cleanings. Our 3 year old is smaller and her teeth are even more crowded than Biggie's. Crossing fingers she doesn't have the same issue.
