I'm really torn on what advice to give you. I think you'd LOVE the breed. Yorkies are affectionate and loving and smart. But they also have a tendency to be frisky, especially in the first year. I can envision some days when you want to relax and the Yorkie wants to play. I would imagine your Cairn shares some of those traits.

That said, I still think you'd love the breed. Especially if you have anyone around the house who might walk him or give him (or her) a little attention on your worst days.
