More brushing/combing tips: Teddy wasn't a fan of being brushed, so I trained him by giving him a chew to work on while I worked on him. Eventually we didn't need the chew anymore.
For serious tangling, work with combs in small sections. Hold the hair section with one hand so that it doesn't tug at all at the skin. I use the tail of the rat tail comb pointed downward, away from the body, to break up tangles. Then I use the mustache/leg comb to carefully start combing the section.
