Sweet! What part? I'm in Providence. How long have you been here? We just moved in March of this year. I also googled for yorkie groups and the only one I found was from meetup.com and it's in Henderson, and it's small breed, not yorkies only.
I still haven't gone to any of their events. There's also a Yappy Hour at Rumor Hotel on Thurs (I think?), also haven't gone. We should meet up sometime! We are so close to each other! I have two yorkies, Uni (girl) and Toto (boy). Uni is 7, Toto is 9. They are both about 5-6 lbs. Normal sized yorkies. Toto can be a little weird around dogs, but Uni is great with everyone.
