The pancreatitis diet is mainly a limited ingredient easily digestible type diet.
we used to give him the Chicken and sweet potato treats. The chicken would digest and the sweet potato would come back up. Things like lamb and rice are supposed to be good also.

The problem with our dog is he eats like he's famished some days and others he acts like he could care less about food. We substantially cut back the number of treats we give him(chicken jerky) because they have flax seed oil in them and of course that's a laxative. The vet said the beniful dry food was ok for him. She put him on some kind of prescription food, and he refused to eat it. We tried him on the BB limited ingredient Chicken and potato, and now they have turkey and potato, (he wouldn't touch the salmon). I suppose we are supposed to put the food down and take it back up if he doesn't eat in a certain amount of time. I just haven't been able to do that yet.
He isn't over weight the vet says.
