There's mixed opinions on this, puppy food has different nutrients more protein and usually more fat than adult food. Puppies need higher protein and fat because their bodies are growing and they use their calories very fast. Maybe you could feed two of them the same thing and then switch the puppy to that food as soon as the puppy is old enough.
