What food are you feeding? If it's yellow bile then all it means is that his stomach is empty and he hasn't had enough food.

I home cook for my yorkie and feed her 3x a day with small meals. I usually feed the most food for breakfast though, if I am not going to be home for a while until her next meal. I would say to try and feed a little more for breakfast before you leave because 7-3 is 8 hours of time. Chloe won't eat either if I am not home but I did leave her dry food when she was a puppy before I started home cooking.
