That's the reason I don't have grass in my back yard, just weeds that I weed wack, lol. What I would do if I were you, do 1/2 of yard, buy plastic fencing, fence off the area just sprayed. Wait the proper amount of time then spray the untreated part, that's what I would do. When I was landscaping my back yard I had to truck in soil. I did it in 2 stages, fenced off the fresh soil until it was graded and settled, then did the other half and fenced that off. I used plastic green fencing, not the construction kind, really don't know what it's called, got it at Home Depot, was not expensive. The front of my house has grass, my pup is not allowed on that, that's the only thing he is NOT ALLOWED to do lol. When I use Round Up on my driveway I will carry him to the car until I have 2 good rain falls. But this is me. Better to be safe then sorry.
