Very cute!! You did a great job...I'm impressed. I have been using the pattern for the dress and making Pippa and her friends (Willow, Biddy, and Gidget) dresses. It looks like you used the vest pattern and added lace, etc, for the skirt. I bet that's alot faster than what I'm doing with the dresses. I was thinking $5.00 was too little for the amount of work...but I was thinking the dress pattern. There is a major flaw in the free pattern for the dress-THE ARMHOLES are so hard!! I finally figured out how to add an extra piece of fabric and make a facing. It took me about 3 hours to do the first dress, but I bet I have it down to about 1 1/2 hrs start to finish now. I also add more length to the skirt piece because I like it with more gathers. Here is a pic of Pippa in my latest creation. |
