Her appetite could definitely be related to her liver -- and I'd get that BAT asap, really. If she has liver issues, you wouldn't want the added toxins floating around her blood stream as this can affect long term brain functioning.
Do you have powdered Parmesan cheese in the UK? If so, try sprinkling it on her food as Parm is nice and pungent and can stim appetite in many dogs.
