She did recommend the other Four Star products, just not the grain free line. LOL Catch 22, the non grain free products are bigger kibble and harder for my old guy to swallow. The Fromm Four Star Chicken A' La Veg is on the list for us to try, the Salmon A' La Veg is also since it is the smallest of grain inclusive Four Stars and of course there is their senior products. Back to the research. RC changing their ingredients pretty much puts them on hold for me since that creates additional confusion presently. I will need to remember that it seems that no yorkie snubs their nose at it though. |
Interesting, I wonder if it's the fat/protein percentage? The grain free is a little higher so maybe that is what they were warning about. Ali is a pup so she is fine with the ingredients for now. The chicken A' La Veg kibble size is close to the RC Yorkie food. It's a flatter piece of kibble vs. the roundness of RC. Ali had trouble with the roundness/crunchability

of RC so she just swallowed it whole and many times it came back up. The Fromm Lamb/lentil is the size of cat food kibble and easier for her to crunch, probably not as hard as some kibble. She has an overbite so more of a challenge.
The Wellness Small Breed that Nancy mentioned is a pretty new product so that's an option too?
