When we brought our puppies home, they each went on the wee wee pads at first, then had many accidents. We would praise them lavishly for going on the pads, and ignore the 'mistakes'. This worked over time, since they were very eager to please and loved the praise. Once they got older, we would gently scold them for messing on the floor, but still carry on the praise. They are now 1 and 2 yrs old, and both haven't had an accident in a long time. They are males and were both neutered at 6 mos. (This helped a lot). Patience and consistency always works best. Good luck.
