8 wks is acceptable for most large breed dogs - some breeders are moving to 10 wks old - given the more recent vaccination protocols.
Teething and losing baby teeth starts around 5-6mths old. They should have full dentition by 1 yr old.
First heat can be as late as 1yr old, females can start as early as six months but normally looking at the 8-10 mth time frame.
